How late can you book a massage near Menlo Park?
A 60 minute session has to start by 8 PM, because we close at 9 PM every day of the week. A 90 minute session starts by 7:30 PM and a 120 minute one by 7 PM. Those are subtractions from our published hours rather than promises about a particular night, and the Square calendar is the thing that knows what is genuinely open.
The 9 PM close is what puts a massage near Menlo Park inside a normal weekday. A 45 minute Signature Massage at $89 can start as late as 8:15 PM, which is the booking that survives a day that ran over. The 120 minute session at $189 is the opposite case: it needs a 7 PM start, so for most weeknight schedules it belongs on a Saturday.
Every start time in the table is 9 PM minus the session length. Square is the only thing that knows whether that slot is free tonight.
| Session | Length | Has to start by | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Signature Massage | 45 min | 8:15 PM | $89 |
| Signature Massage | 60 min | 8 PM | $109 |
| Prenatal Massage | 60 min | 8 PM | $119 |
| Signature Massage | 90 min | 7:30 PM | $149 |
| Prenatal Massage | 90 min | 7:30 PM | $159 |
| Signature Massage | 120 min | 7 PM | $189 |
How long is the drive from Menlo Park?
About 15 minutes up El Camino Real to 1658, longer if you set off at 5:30 PM and shorter at 8. The full address is 1658 El Camino Real, San Carlos, CA 94070, and the storefront carries the number in the transom window above signage reading Open Daily 10AM-9PM, 650-622-8666.
Street parking out front is free, which matters more at 7:30 PM than it does at noon. Fold the drive into the arithmetic before you pick a slot. Leaving Menlo Park at 7 PM for a 7:30 PM start gives you room; leaving at 7:15 does not.
Booking runs through Square, the phone is (650) 622-8666 and the email is [email protected]. There are no contact forms on this site. The contact page carries the map and the weekly hours, and the services page lists all 8 services with every length and price.
Prenatal Massage: $119 for 60 minutes, worked side-lying
Prenatal Massage is its own line on the menu, at $119 for 60 minutes or $159 for 90 minutes. Those are the only two lengths, so the 45 and 120 minute options elsewhere on the menu do not apply here. It is worked on your side with bolsters rather than face down on a flat table, which is what the photo below shows.
Check with your own doctor or midwife first
That comes before anything on this page, and it matters most in a high-risk pregnancy. Booking a $119 session does not change the order, and NCCIH states the general rule plainly: people with medical conditions and people who are pregnant may need to modify or avoid some of these practices. MedlinePlus covers the practical half in one line, which is to let a professional massage therapist know you are pregnant.
What the research found on pregnancy back pain
A 2016 systematic review in Medicine pooled 10 studies covering 1,198 pregnant women. Massage and the other manual therapies came out ahead of usual care and ahead of relaxation on pain intensity, and level with sham treatment. The authors called the evidence limited, and pointed out that only 3 of the 10 studies reported safety data at all.
The Office on Women's Health traces pregnancy backache to the pressure of the baby's head, added weight and loosening joints, and its first 3 suggestions are lying down, resting and applying heat, with a call to your doctor if the pain does not improve. A 60 minute session sits alongside that list rather than in front of it.
Say how far along you are
Put it in the Square booking note and say it again at the start of the session. Trimester changes positioning, pressure and which areas get worked, so it is not something a therapist should have to infer. If your provider has told you to avoid bodywork for now, that instruction outranks anything written here; call (650) 622-8666 rather than booking online and it takes a minute to settle.
Booking an evening slot, in order
Five things in this order if you are leaving Menlo Park at 6:30 PM and want to be on the table by 7:30. Two of them are about the clock, and three are about being understood before you are lying down.
- Pick the length before the time. A 60 minute Signature Massage at $109 needs an 8 PM start at the latest, and 90 minutes at $149 needs 7:30 PM.
- Book prenatal as prenatal, not the Signature Massage with a pillow added. It is a separate line at $119 for 60 minutes and $159 for 90.
- Write how far along you are into the booking note, with any instruction your doctor or midwife has given you.
- Leave Menlo Park with 15 minutes in hand plus whatever El Camino Real is doing that evening. Parking out front is free, so you are not hunting for a garage at 7:25 PM.
- If nothing online fits, call (650) 622-8666. Walk-ins are taken whenever a room is open, and 2 minutes on the phone settles it.
What else fits an evening?
The Signature Massage is the general booking, in four lengths: 45 minutes at $89, 60 at $109, 90 at $149 and 120 at $189. Square describes it as including hot stones, hot towels, hot compress and cupping, and the Grand Opening Special currently adds complimentary hot stone, hot compress and cupping to select massage services.
There is no Deep Tissue line to book. Deep tissue is a pressure you ask for once you are on the table, so you book the Signature Massage at the length the evening has room for and say what you want. The only place the phrase appears in the Square catalog is inside Massage + Lymphatic Facial, whose description reads a 60-minute Deep Tissue or Swedish Massage followed by a Lymphatic Facial.
If two of you are driving up, Couples Massage and Four Hands Massage are both $189 for 60 minutes, $279 for 90 and $369 for 120. The first puts two people on two tables in one private room; the second puts two therapists on one person. A 90 minute couples booking still needs a 7:30 PM start.
Questions people ask
Is there a massage near Menlo Park open after 8 PM?
Yes, up to a point. We close at 9 PM every day, so a 60 minute session has to begin by 8 PM, and a 45 minute Signature Massage at $89 can start as late as 8:15 PM. Anything longer needs an earlier start: 90 minutes by 7:30 PM, 120 minutes by 7 PM.
Are you open on Sundays?
Yes. Hours are 10 AM to 9 PM all 7 days, Sunday included, at 1658 El Camino Real in San Carlos. A Sunday evening booking works the same as a Wednesday one, and walk-ins are taken whenever a room is free.
Is prenatal massage safe during pregnancy?
Ask your own doctor or midwife first, especially in a high-risk pregnancy. On complementary approaches generally, massage among them, NCCIH says that people with medical conditions and people who are pregnant may need to modify or avoid some of these practices, so make that call before the $119 booking goes in. MedlinePlus adds the practical half, which is to let a professional massage therapist know you are pregnant.
Does massage help back pain in pregnancy?
Less than the marketing suggests. A 2016 systematic review of 10 studies and 1,198 pregnant women found manual therapies ahead of usual care and relaxation on pain intensity, but level with sham treatment, and only 3 of the 10 reported safety data. The Office on Women's Health suggests lying down, resting and applying heat first, and calling your doctor if the pain does not improve.
What is the difference between Prenatal Massage and the Signature Massage?
Price, length and positioning. Prenatal Massage costs $119 at 60 minutes and $159 at 90, and it is worked side-lying with bolsters rather than face down. The Signature Massage comes in four lengths, from 45 minutes at $89 up to 120 minutes at $189, and Square describes it as including hot stones, hot towels, hot compress and cupping.
Can I walk in on a weeknight?
Walk-ins are taken whenever a room is open, and the front door says so. It is a worse bet for a 90 minute session than for a 45 minute one, purely because the block is bigger. Call (650) 622-8666 before you leave Menlo Park and you will know either way.
